BNSF Railway Co. recently was named a “2010 Best Diversity Company” by Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology magazine. BNSF has attained the honor four years in a row.

In March and April, the magazine’s readers and website visitors were asked to identify the corporations, government agencies and other U.S. organizations that are putting the best foot forward with diversity. This year, readers could affirm the status of organizations previously recognized as best diversity companies or nominate new organizations.

“BNSF values diversity because diverse perspectives can help us work more safely and productively across cultural, geographic and functional boundaries,” said Ed McFalls, BNSF’s assistant vice president-human resources and diversity, in an item posted on the “BNSF News” website. “Diversity complements the values of BNSF, which serve as cornerstones for our culture.”
