For the second-consecutive year, BNSF Railway Co. has received Toyota Logistics Service's Logistics Excellence Award for railroad customer service.
The award recognizes a railroad’s commitment to service improvement and customer service, such as conducting daily monitoring of each shipment and providing exception notifications. Last year, BNSF moved more than 90,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles originating from ports in Long Beach, Calif., and Portland, Ore., and the automaker's plants in Georgetown, Ky.; Princeton, Ind.; Fremont, Calif.; and Cambridge, Ontario.
BNSF previously received Toyota’s Excellence in On-Time Performance and Excellence in Quality awards.
