Last week, BNSF Railway Co. presented 2005 Annual Product Stewardship Awards to 59 chemical shippers. The awards recognize shippers’ efforts to safely transport hazardous materials and implement product stewardship principles under the American Chemistry Council’s Responsible Care® initiative.
Launched in 1997, the awards are bestowed to shippers who successfully transported a minimum of 500 loaded haz-mat tank cars during the past year without a non-accidental release. BP Products North America and Olin Chlor Alkali Products have received the BNSF honor every year.
