BNSF claims Kia Motors', Wal-Mart's top-carrier award for 2001

Burlington Northern Santa Fe May 22 announced it was recently named Carrier of the Year by Kia Motors America — the first North American railroad to receive the automaker's award.
The award recognizes Kia Motors' best-performing transportation provider, based on transit schedules, damage-free service and ease-of-doing-business level.
BNSF a week earlier was honored by another shipper, winning Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s Rail Provider of the Year award for the fourth straight year.
Wal-Mart's award recognizes a transportation provider's systems technology, on-time pick-up and delivery performance, customer service, pricing, equipment capacity and ease-of-doing-business level.
