BNSF divides mechanical operations into north, south units
advertisement
As of yesterday, BNSF Railway Co.'s mechanical department field operations have been reorganized into two operating regions: mechanical north operations and mechanical south operations.
Recently promoted Chief Mechanical Officer Brandon Mabry will head the north operations, which in addition to current north locations includes most of the Springfield Division, most of the Colorado and Nebraska divisions, and the Alliance and Lincoln, Neb., diesel shops.
Chief Mechanical Officer B.J. Ryan will continue to head the south operations, which includes field mechanical operations for the Texas and Gulf divisions.
The Topeka System Maintenance Terminal and Havelock teams will report to Vice President of Mechanical Chris Roberts.
"This facilitates system alignment with the car and locomotive directors, who also report to Roberts," BNSF officials said in an item posted on the "BNSF News" Web site.
