BNSF Railway Co. recently received Toyota Logistics Services’ Excellence in Quality Performance Award for 2005. The award recognizes the railroad’s transportation and damage-free delivery performance.
Last year, BNSF moved more than 100,000 Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles originating from Toyota’s North American plants in Cambridge, Ontario; Georgetown, Ky.; Princeton, Ind.; and Fremont, Calif. The Class I also moved Toyota vehicles arriving at Long Beach, Calif., and Portland, Ore., ports.
“BNSF places a high priority on ensuring every vehicle reaches its destination damage-free,” said Marc Allen, BNSF assistant vice president of automotive marketing, in a prepared statement.
BNSF previously received Toyota Logistics Services’ Logistics Excellence Award for Railroad Customer Service and Excellence in On-Time Performance honor.
