advertisement
On May 20, Burlington Northern Santa Fe launched Load and Ride Solutions (LARS) Global, a cargo-handling consultation subsidiary offering expertise in freight preparation, loading, ride quality and security to worldwide shippers.
BNSF's cargo-handling and security employees would evaluate each customer's freight as it moves through the transportation cycle; offer recommendations on packaging, warehouse storage, loading, blocking and bracing, ride quality, unloading, securement, and destination storage and delivery; and provide training for customers' freight-handling and transportation personnel.
"BNSF's freight-loss-and-damage ratio has dropped by more than 50 percent since 1995," said Chuck Law, BNSF director, LARS marketing and consulting, in a prepared statement.
For more information, visit LARS Global's Web site at www.larsglobal.com or call toll-free 866-755-0730.
