Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
For the seventh-straight year, BNSF Railway Co. has landed on the list of LATINA Style magazine's 50 Best Companies.
A magazine focusing on professional issues that affect Hispanic women, LATINA Style conducts surveys and evaluates employment policies and recruitment procedures of more than 600 U.S. corporations to determine the top 50 firms. The magazine chose BNSF because its womens’ task force, affinity groups, benefits, flex time, scholarships, recruitment and training are attractive to Latina women.
“Diversity is always important and has an organizational impact of cultivating a climate of inclusion where members of Team BNSF are valued and respected,” said Jeanne Michalski, BNSF vice president of human resources and medical, in a prepared statement.
Bank of America, SBC Communications Inc., PepsiCo Inc., American Express Co. and Knight Ridder Inc. also made the list.
