BNSF Railway Co.’s Mexican business unit recently sponsored a reception in Fort Worth, Texas, to network with Mexican firms and explore additional business opportunities. Representatives from Mexican non-profit, commercial, industrial, transportation and educational firms attended the event.
"It was a great platform to get the BNSF name out to the Mexican business side," said Noel Guajardo, BNSF Mexican Business Unit representative, in a prepared statement.
BNSF interchanges with Ferrocarril Mexicano S.A. de C.V. in El Paso and Eagle Pass, Texas, and TFM S.A. de C.V. in Brownsville and Laredo, Texas. So far in 2005, the Class I has increased Mexican revenue 34 percent compared with last year.
