For the seventh consecutive year, BNSF Railway Co. plans to honor the nation’s truck drivers by hosting events at several intermodal facilities.
During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week from Sept. 19-25, an estimated 1,500 truck drivers will be greeted by BNSF employees handing out gifts at intermodal facilities in Fort Worth, Texas; Willow Springs, Ill., Kansas City, Kan.; and Stockton and San Bernardino, Calif. BNSF also will send celebration kits to more than 70 of its truckload customers.
“Truck drivers are an important part of the supply chain. By working together, we are able to provide safe, reliable transportation of the products American consumers use every day,” said BNSF Vice President of Domestic Intermodal Katie Farmer in a prepared statement.
