Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. recently opened a new barley elevator in Sidney, Mont., which will be served by Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
Designed with an initial storage capacity of 1.5 million bushels, the facility is expected to receive and ship 100,000 bushels daily.
BNSF's marketing, economic development, government affairs and operations department employees worked with Anheuser-Busch officials to locate a suitable site, design track layout, and develop marketing and service plans to meet the brewer's transportation needs, according to a prepared statement.
