Gunderson-Concarril, a joint venture formed in 1998 by Bombardier Transportation and The Greenbrier Cos., recently received a $35 million order from TTX Co. for 500 rail cars. Bombardier's share of the order is $17.5 million, according to a prepared statement.

Bombardier and Greenbrier each have a 50-percent stake in
Mexico-based Gunderson-Concarril, which markets freight-car building services in North America.

Bombardier provides manufacturing capabilities and facilities; Greenbrier, marketing and engineering expertise.

Gunderson-Concarril plans to build the cars at Bombardier's manufacturing complex in Sahagun, Mexico, which was shut down for some time in 2001 because of a lack of orders.
