advertisement
Today, a Bombardier Transportation-led consortium broke ground on a Korean rapid transit system.
In July 2004, the city of Yongin awarded a 35-year contract to the Yongin LRT consortium to build and operate the 11.5-mile EverLine Rapid Transit System. The consortium comprises Bombardier; Korean civil works contractors Daelim Industrial Co., Hanil Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd., and Korea Development Corp.; and Korean electrical and mechanical system contractors Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Co. Ltd. and Iljin Electric Co. Ltd.
Designed to link the Seoul metropolitan subway via Yongin City, the 15-station elevated line will feature Bombardier’s CITYFLO 650 automatic train-control technology.
