Innsbruck, Austria, transportation authority Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH recently awarded a $61 million contract to a Bombardier Transportation/ELIN EBG Traction joint venture to provide 22 FLEXITY Outlook trams.
Under its $51 million portion of the contract, Bombardier will manufacture the vehicles at its Vienna, Austria, facility. ELIN EBC Traction will provide the electrical equipment.
The contract includes an option for 10 additional low-floor FLEXITY Outlook vehicles.
