Spain’s Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana recently awarded a $106 million contract to Bombardier Transportation to provide 30 FLEXITY Outlook trams for the agency’s Valencia and Alicante networks.

Scheduled to be delivered in 2006 and 2007, the low-floor trams feature Bombardier’s MITRAC propulsion and control system. The contract includes an option for 10 additional trams.

Bombardier also obtained a $63 million contract from a consortium comprising China’s Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co. Ltd., and Japan’s Itochu Corp. to provide 200 bogies and 400 bogie kits for the Guangzhou, China Metro subway.

Bombardier will deliver the bogies and kits between 2005 and 2010.
