The Shanghai Shensong Line Mass Transit Co. Ltd. recently awarded a $326 million contract to Bombardier and its Chinese joint venture partners to supply 51 MOVIA metro trains.
The 306 cars will be built by Bombardier, Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicles Co. Ltd. and Bombardier-CPC Propulsion Systems Co. Ltd.
The trains are scheduled to be delivered between second-quarter 2008 and the end of 2009.
