Bombardier to supply another 19 high-capacity trains for French railway

The French National Railways (SNCF) recently ordered another 19 high-capacity AGC-type trains, valued at $111 million, from Bombardier Transportation.

The order is an add-on to an initial contract awarded to Bombardier by SNCF in December 2001 for 500 AGC trains. In November 2006, the agency exercised an option for up to 200 more trains.

The AGC trains can be designed to run on diesel fuel, electricity or a combination of the two.
