advertisement
The Belgian National Railways (SNCB) recently ordered an additional 90 M6 double-deck coaches from a Bombardier Transportation/ALSTOM Transport consortium.
SNCB is exercising an option on a 1999 contract for 210 double-deck cars. In 2004, the agency ordered an additional 70 cars from Bombardier and ALSTOM.
Under its $108 million portion of the $199 million contract, Bombardier will build 18 control cars, assemble 72 trailer cars and manufacture bogies.
The vehicles will be delivered between January 2008 and April 2009.
