The Bosnia and Herzegovina Railway Public Corp. recently awarded a multi-million-dollar contract to Alcatel Transport Solutions to install electronic interlocking equipment on the Pan-European Transport Corridor V, Branch C.

Alcatel will modernize nine stations along the line, which runs north and south through the country, linking Bosanski Samac and Capljina. The company will install its 6151 LockTrac interlocking solution, which is designed to use communications and network systems to connect the central system with field elements, such as signals.

Alcatel also will provide its 6343 FieldTrac, a new electro-hydraulic point machine.
