The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) recently appointed Jeffrey Brashares intermodal conference chairman to succeed Robert Dinardo. Vice chairman-commercial sales for Pacer International Inc., Brashares also will serve on TIA’s board.

In 1984, Brashares became a partner in intermodal transportation firm Rail Van Inc., which became part of Pacer International in 2000.

The intermodal conference offers transportation intermediaries an opportunity to learn and share knowledge with their peers, develop policy recommendations and address concerns. The group usually meets during TIA’s annual conference, which will be held April 6-8 in Tucson, Ariz.

TIA represents the interests of the third-party logistics industry, primarily transportation intermediaries to shippers, carriers, government agencies and international organizations.
