advertisement
Brazil's MRS Logística S.A. recently took delivery of a customized track evaluation hi-rail vehicle from Holland Co. L.P.
Holland's TrackSTAR® is designed to test and record track strength, full track geometry and railwear profile. The vehicle, which can test at up to 30 mph, uses the company's own split-axle technology and E.H. Reeves Laserail geometry system.
Privatized in 1996, MRS Logística operates 1,054 track miles in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Minas Gerais, as well as southeast Brazil. The railway hauls a range of commodities, including iron ore, steel and agricultural products.
