Brijot Imaging Systems Inc. recently began marketing weapons detection camera software for mass transit applications. The BIS-WDS™ Prime software is designed to identify explosives or other suspicious objects hidden beneath a person’s clothing.

A transit agency could use the BIS-WDS™ Prime to screen 720 passengers per entry lane per hour without having passengers stop, empty pockets or enter a closed device, Brijot Imaging said. In January, the company began manufacturing and distributing the units to government agencies and other customers.
