CN and Canadian Pacific this week earned recognition for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change by global environmental nonprofit organization CDP.
The Class Is earned an "A" grade on CDP’s 2022 Climate Change questionnaire, which evaluated 18,700 companies on their climate change, forests and water security disclosures. A total 283 companies earned the top score in the climate change category, according to the CDP website.
This is the seventh time CN has placed on the "A List," while this is the second consecutive year for CP.
"Achieving the A List on what is widely recognized as the gold standard of corporate environmental transparency is a testament to CN’s commitment to minimizing our impact on the environment and providing cleaner, more sustainable transportation services to our customers," said CN President and CEO Tracy Robinson in a press release.
"Being named to the A List once again is a significant accomplishment that reflects our commitment to comprehensive environmental disclosure," said CP President and CEO Keith Creel in a separate press release.
