CN honored as 'Innovator of the Year' by Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart Canada recently named CN Innovator of the Year to recognize the railroad’s effort in delivering supply chain solutions for the shipper’s logistics network.
CN helped to support customers’ needs through rail and non-rail transportation services, according to Wal-Mart Canada. The award also recognizes CN’s new EcoTherm technology, which is designed to protect goods from freezing by employing a temperature-controlled, insulated 40-foot container that does not require a heating unit in transit. EcoTherm provides 48 percent fuel savings on Wal-Mart Canada’s loads, according to the shipper.
