CN joins U.S. Customs' border-security partnership
advertisement
Canadian National Railway Co. recently joined U.S. Customs Service's Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) — the first North American railroad to become a member, according to a prepared statement.
A government-business partnership, C-TPAT members aim to strengthen the transportation supply chain and enhance U.S./Canada border security by building public/private relationships.
C-TPAT members must self assess their supply-chain security, develop a program to enhance that security according to C-TPAT's recommendations and communicate those recommendations to other supply-chain companies.
