CP signal workers ratify three-year pact
advertisement
The Canadian Signals and Communications System Council No. 11 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) members have ratified the memorandum of settlement Canadian Pacific and the IBEW had reached in July, according to a Sept. 14 CP statement.
The agreement, which covers 400 CP employees who maintain signal systems, provides a 6 percent wage increase over three years, extending to 2012's end — a pact that is "consistent with the pattern of all other Canadian labour agreements for this period," according to the statement.
