CPR to test electronic-invoicing with fuel supplier
advertisement
Canadian Pacific Railway and Superior Propane Inc. Oct. 18 reached an agreement, under which Superior Propane soon would conduct service trials attempting to electronically send invoices to CPR.
Superior Propane — a propane, fuel and appliances supplier, and service provider — plans to send invoices from its J. D. Edwards enterprise computer system to electroBusiness' e-Business Utility™, a computerized financial-document exchange service.
electroBusiness — an e-business outsourcing and development company — then would translate the data format, orchestrate processes and deliver the invoices to CPR via the railroad's legacy Electronic Data Interchange system.
If trials are successful, CPR and Superior Propane plan to implement the electronic-invoice interchange to speed the order-supply-payment process.
