CSX makes law-department management changes

On May 23, CSX Corp. promoted Senior Vice President-Law Ellen Fitzsimmons to corporate secretary and named Nathan Goldman general counsel-business as part of a law department reorganization.
In her new role, Fitzsimmons will manage CSX's corporate governance, with support from Assistant Corporate Secretaries Rachael Geiersbach and Gordon Bailey.
With more than 20 years' experience in business and private practice, Goldman will be responsible for managing the department's attorneys working in transactions, technology, finance, securities and corporate governance.
CSX also announced that Peter Shudtz, senior vice president-regulatory affairs and Washington counsel, will oversee the department's five commercial and regulatory attorneys. A 27-year CSX veteran, Shudtz will continue managing CSX's Surface Transportation Board proceedings.
