CSX Transportation and BNSF Logistics L.L.C. recently landed on two magazines’ top-performer lists.
Waste News ranked CSXT as the top rail carrier and 22nd overall on an annual list of waste transportation providers. The magazine based the rankings on revenue generated from waste hauling, disposal and transfers.
Last year, the Class I set records for waste hauling volume and revenue. CSXT provides waste multi-modal transportation, transfer and other services to municipalities, waste companies, and the steel, automotive, paper and chemical industries.
Meanwhile, Inbound Logistics named BNSF Logistics one of the top 10 third-party logistics (3PL) providers for the third-consecutive year.
Top performers are determined by a reader survey conducted between December 2005 and June 2006. This year, the magazine received about 4,000 completed surveys and more than 400 nominations.
