CSXT, CSXI join U.S. Customs' anti-terrorism program

CSX Transportation and CSX Intermodal recently fulfilled requirements to become members of U.S. Customs Services' Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.
Through C-TPAT, U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), in partnership with U.S. businesses, attempts to ensure the integrity of supply-chain security practices and provide security guidelines.
After becoming C-TPAT members, companies receive from CBP expedited release procedures, fewer spot examinations and more timely border transactions.
CSXT and CSXI plan to provide customers information on C-TPAT on CSX Corp.'s Web site, www.csx.com.
