CSX Transportation and Naviera del Odiel S.A. recently agreed to jointly market the railroad's services in Spain and Portugal.
Transportation and logistics service provider Naviera del Odiel will represent and actively promote CSXT's North American rail service to Spanish and Portuguese shippers, freight forwarders and logistics managers.
Madrid-based Naviera del Odiel also will identify product development opportunities and help CSXT "strengthen its customer base," according to a prepared statement
The agreement supports CSXT's increased focus on international commerce and its plan to increase its commercial presence in Europe, the railroad said.
CSXT already has partnered with Walter Vollemaere, principal of WV Consulting in Belgium.
