CSXT presents 'safety excellence' awards to 64 chemical shippers
advertisement
And the winners are ... 64 chemical shippers. That's how many shippers that will receive CSX Transportation's Chemical Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) for 2007 at a ceremony to be held today in Atlanta. The awards recognize chemical shippers' commitment to rail-car maintenance and safety, and continuous safe tank-car loading efforts.
To be eligible for a CSEA, a company must ship 600 or more cars per year on CSXT and have no non-accidental chemical releases during the calendar year.
The 64 '07 recipients — which include companies serving the chemical, fertilizer, agriculture and metals, and merchandise commodity markets — surpass 2006's 62 winners and 2005's 50 winners.
