CSX Transportation Aug. 12 named Ganson Evans vice president of sales, marketing and e-business, succeeding former Senior Vice President of E-Business Alan Blumenfeld, who July 11 was named CSX Intermodal president.
In addition to his current sales and marketing duties, Evans will be responsible for developing and implementing e-business tools.
"Ganson has the unique ability to translate complex and detailed organizational and technological processes into user-friendly tools that can make it easier for customers to do business with CSXT," said Mike Giftos, CSXT executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in a prepared statement.
Evans, who'll report to Giftos, joined CSX in 1998 from Conrail, where he held several senior sales and marketing positions. He previously served CSXI in various sales and marketing posts.
