Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recently awarded a five-year contract worth up to $60.5 million to Chicago Transit Partners to oversee the authority’s capital improvement plan.
A joint venture comprising DMJM+Harris Inc., Consoer, Townsend Envirodyne Engineers Inc., and Kenny Construction Co., the partners will help manage CTA’s five-year, $5.1 billion expansion and reconstruction plan, which includes rehabilitating the Dan Ryan Red Line, expanding the Brown Line and renovating Howard Station.
Chicago Transit Partners will coordinate construction projects, and manage construction and design schedules and budgets. The company replaces URS Corp., which has managed CTA’s capital program the past four years.
