Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recently installed Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at 11 stations, providing passengers bank access while increasing the authority’s revenue.
CTA entered a three-year contract with Bank One Corp., which will furnish, install, replenish, operate and maintain the ATMs. The machines are expected to generate at least $144,300 in annual revenue for the authority.
In addition to a minimum payment, Bank One will pay CTA a percentage of the ATM user fees collected at the stations.
