CTA to generate additional revenue from new ATMs

advertisement

Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recently installed Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at 11 stations, providing passengers bank access while increasing the authority’s revenue.

CTA entered a three-year contract with Bank One Corp., which will furnish, install, replenish, operate and maintain the ATMs. The machines are expected to generate at least $144,300 in annual revenue for the authority.

In addition to a minimum payment, Bank One will pay CTA a percentage of the ATM user fees collected at the stations.
