The Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) is seeking entries for the 2008 Compass Awards.

Entering their 56th year, the awards — formerly called the Trannys — recognize North American transportation and logistics companies that develop "creative, strategic marketing and communications programs," according to TMCA.

The association presents awards in 10 categories: integrated communications; single advertisement; advertising campaign; direct marketing campaign; communications collateral; publications; new media; audiovisual; special events; and media relations. A panel of judges will determine award winners in each category based on "merit" and "excellence" levels, and choose a "best of show" and "best in class" recipient.

TMCA will accept entries until Feb. 15, 2008. Winners will be honored at TMCA's annual conference to be held June 3, 2008, at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club near Jacksonville, Fla.

TMCA members include marketing and communications professionals within the North American transportation and logistics industries.
