Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
On Nov. 8-9, the Canadian Chemical Producers' Association (CCPA) will hold Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Congress II at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario.
Presentations will focus on what's been learned since the TDG Act was enacted in 1992 and TDG Clear Language Regulations were implemented in 2002. Presenters will review proposed regulatory changes, such as act revisions and security-related amendments, and provide information on Canadian regulations other than TDG that can affect domestic and cross-border hazardous materials moves.
CCPA is organizing the event in cooperation with Transport Canada, Environment Canada, Health Canada, the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute, Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, Propane Gas Association of Canada, Crop Life Canada, Canadian Fertilizer Institute, Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors, Railway Association of Canada and Canadian Emergency Response Contractors' Alliance.
For more information, call CCPA at 613-237-6215 (Louis Laferriere, ext. 247, or Louise Palmer, ext. 244) or visit the association's Web site at www.ccpa.ca.
