The Canadian Emergency Response Contractors’ Alliance (CERCA) recently elected executive committee members, who will serve two-year terms.
Members elected Mark Jasper of Echelon Response and Training Inc. as chairman and David Elsie of Drain-All Ltd. as vice chairman.
Formed in 1992, CERCA comprises representatives from railroads, trucking companies, emergency response contractors, chemical producers and Transport Canada. The alliance aims to ensure the transportation industry has an effective emergency response network to respond to hazardous-material accidents and incidents.
