Carmichael to address Intelligent Transportation Systems conference in NYC

Former Federal Railroad Administrator and Intermodal Transportation Institute founding chairman Gil Carmichael will address the 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems, which will be held Nov. 16-20 in New York City.

"ITS Connections: Saving Time, Saving Lives" is expected to draw up to 10,000 business and transportation leaders from more than 40 countries.  

Carmichael will discuss his "Interstate II" proposal, which calls for building on the interstate highway system with intermodal freight transportation systems and a high-speed passenger-rail network.
