Construction under way on Binghamton intermodal terminal

Earlier this week, Binghamton, N.Y., officials broke ground on the Binghamton Intermodal Transit Terminal, which will enable passengers to transfer from local transit systems to regional and intercity rail and bus systems.
The $12 million project is being funded by the Federal Highway Administration ($5 million), U.S. Department of Transportation ($4.1 million), state of New York ($2 million) and Broome County ($1 million).
