DART, KCS and Watco make management changes

Dallas Area Rapid Transit recently named David Leininger chief financial officer.

For the past five years, he served the city of Irving, Texas, as CFO and managing director of development services and economic initiatives. Leininger has more than 30 years of management experience gained at various firms, including Economic Research Associates, Club Corp. International, Triland International, Touche Ross & Co. and Las Colinas Association, as well as the cities of Dallas and Garland, Texas.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Southern appointed Kevin McIntosh as assistant vice president of state and local relations. He most recently was general manger of the Class I’s Midwest Division.

McIntosh previously served KCS as AVP of personnel services, general director of safety, health and operating practices, superintendent of the Kansas City terminal, trainmaster, assistant trainmaster and conductor.

The Watco Cos. Inc. made a few management changes, too. The company named Mike Pollard general manager of the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad and Brent Shepherd, financial analyst.

Pollard most recently was terminal superintendent for The Kansas City Southern Railway Co. in Shreveport, La. He previously served Union Pacific Railroad in various capacities, including trackman, conductor, yardmaster and director of terminals. Shepherd most recently was senior commodity manager for telecommunication firm ADC.
