Make it three-straight months of ridership records for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). Last month, the agency carried 10.8 million passengers on its light-rail, bus and Trinity Railway Express (which DART operates in conjunction with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority) services, eclipsing June's record 10.4 million trips.

The agency posted average weekday ridership of 70,487 passengers on its light-rail system, a 13.8 percent increase compared with July 2007's total and the first time DART has exceeded the 70,000 mark.

Trinity Railway Express last month registered a record 11,234 average weekday trips, up 19.9 percent vs. July 2007's count.
