DART contracts Behlman Electronics to supply signal generators

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) recently contracted power products supplier Behlman Electronics Inc. to provide signal generators for the agency’s rail expansion project.
Designed to facilitate communication between railroad control centers and trains throughout the system, the signal generators will convert available track power to the 100Hz sine wave signal necessary for the train’s display panel to properly decode and display the control center’s signal, according to a prepared statement.
In the past, Behlman has provided on-site training sessions for DART signal engineers to review system operation and service.
