DART to place long-range plan on public display

Later this month, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will host a series of seven public meetings to provide information on the agency’s 2030 Transit System Plan.

DART officials will review results from a Mobility Needs Assessment, under which officials studied population and employment trends and congestion, and their impact on transit services. They also examined the current travel market and potential changes, and identified future travel corridors based on travel patterns and volumes.

For each corridor identified in the assessment, officials will develop transit options, such as new technology, service or operational strategies. After identifying mobility issues and alternatives, DART will develop a draft 2030 Transit System Plan.
