Darr joins NMB as mediator

The National Mediation Board (NMB) recently appointed Walter Darr Jr. to a mediator post. He will handle railroad and airline collective bargaining and grievance mediation cases.
Darr most recently was a principal for an independent consulting firm. He has more than 23 years of labor relations experience, including the negotiation and administration of airline collective agreements.
The NMB is an independent federal agency established by the Railway Labor Act that governs labor-management relations of about 500 railroads and 100 airlines.
