Digital Concepts recently installed a Digital Traffic Control™ operations management system at Chicago’s Union Station, which handles about 400 Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp. (Metra) and 45 Amtrak trains daily.
The system features dispatching and management tools, as well as the company’s DigiNet™ service, which is designed to provide seamless, real-time operational data exchange, and graphical screens for dispatchers and managers. The system also enables railroads to exchange data with other operations management systems.
