Rail News: Rail Industry Trends
Duos Technologies Inc. recently deployed its Train Rider Detection System (TriDS™) for a major freight railroad.
TriDS captures, analyzes and processes images of rail cars in real time as trains pass a digital device at speeds up to 70 mph. The system is designed to identify predetermined anomalies, such as a person riding in a container car's well.
A digital train search helps minimize inspection stops, and enables railroads to maintain velocity and boost security, Duos Technologies said.
The company also recently won a more than $600,000 contract from an unidentified railroad to implement a video security system at a Northeast Corridor rail yard.
