E-business: BNSF to speed, customize electronic data interchanges

On July 15, Burlington Northern Santa Fe announced it obtained Transentric's Agilink® intelligent messaging service to provide customers seamless, real-time electronic interchanges.
Agilink is designed to enable BNSF to map, convert and deliver Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) communications in customer-requested formats — even for previously incompatible EDI systems.
"[The] product best compliments BNSF's iPower tool set and is enhancing our e-business-based customer service offerings," said Kathleen Kummant, BNSF vice president, business development, in a prepared statement.
