Elections bring new faces to IANA's board

As a result of Intermodal Association of North America's (IANA) October elections, George Baima, vice president of intermodal and corporate relations for Central States Trucking Co., retained his position as chairman, the association announced Dec. 11.


Also, Barry Michaels, Union Pacific Railroad's assistant vice president of premium operations, was elected vice chairman, and Theodore Prince, Optimization Alternatives Limited Inc.'s senior vice president of marketing and sales, secretary/treasurer.


The elections added a few new faces to IANA's board director rolls, too: Douglas Payne, president of Clarke Logistics; Scott Smith, director of logistics services, Americas, at APL Ltd.; and Jane Felt Suter, vice president of C.H. Robinson Co. Frank Sonzala, Pressure Systems International Inc.'s executive vice president, was chosen to represent IANA's supplier division.


The following will continue to serve as board members under existing terms: William Berry, vice president of intermodal for Canadian National Railway Co.; Richard Coleman, president of ContainerPort Group Inc.; William Duray, director of domestic freight services for NYK Line (North America) Inc.; Samuel Farruggio, president of Farrugio's Express Inc.; Clarence Gooden, senior vice president of merchandise service for CSX Corp.; David Howland, vice president, regional sales - east for Schneider National Inc.; Daniel Smith, president of General Freight Services Inc.; Michael Winchester, a principal of Winchester Consulting L.L.C.; and Philip Wojcik.
