FRA schedules dispatching seminar in late September

The Federal Railroad Administration Office of Research and Development’s Human Factors Program Government is sponsoring a seminar on railroad dispatching operations Sept. 30 at the Doubletree La Posada Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Hosted by Foster-Miller Inc., "Railroad Dispatching Operations: Putting Research into Practice" will include a research review by dispatching center managers and workers, feedback on FRA's research program, a discussion on additional research needs and presentation on best practices describing other types of dispatching operations.
The registration fee for the event — which includes a reception the evening of Sept. 29 — is $125 before Sept. 3 and $150 afterward.
